Staying Involved and Active in the Newtown Community:
Dr. Schmid enjoys being an extremely active part of the Newtown/Sandy Hook community. She regularly speaks at local events, attends business and community functions, serves on local boards, sponsors many athletic and community activities, as well as co-chairing the Newtown Health & Safety Fair for over 30 years. As a Connecticut native she has raised her two children in Sandy Hook and loves spending her free time being outdoors, cooking, and enjoying time spent with her family and friends. Dr. Schmid has participated in triathlons, bike races, cross country ski races, a half marathon, and many charity sports and community events.
