Welcome to the official site of the Newtown Turkey Trot 5K road race and fun walk to support the Cyrenius H. Booth Library! This year the race will be held on Thursday November 22nd, and start at 7:45 AM.

The scenic 3.1 mile course begins at the Hawley School and ends at Newtown Middle School, a short distance away with ample parking in between. See the course details for full description.
This year's race is the first to feature team registration! Teams of 5 can register to compete for the lowest combined time. Teams can be co-ed, all-male, or all-female, and prizes are awarded to the top team in each category.
The Newtown Turkey Trot is proud to be a part of the Newtown Road Race Series, including the Rooster Run in June, and the Newtown Road Race in September. Runners in multiple divisions with the lowest combined time in all three races will receive special recognition.
The Newtown Turkey Trot is pleased to be a LIVESTRONG Grassroots Event this year. Runners and walkers who wish to raise money for the fight against cancer may use the Turkey Trot as a personal goal event. All funds raised by these participants goes to the LIVESTRONG, the Lance Armstrong Foundation For more information about this opportunity click here. Just a reminder that this year’s race is capped at the first 1,000 registered runners and 250 registered walkers.
Early package pickup will be available for all pre-registered participants at the Booth Library on Tuesday November 20th (4:00 PM – 8:00 PM) and Wednesday November 21st (12:00 PM – 5:00 PM). No pre-registration applications will be accepted at the library.
